What Is Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)?

PRF is a by-product of your own blood that’s rich in platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors—all essential elements in your body’s natural healing process. Using a small blood sample drawn at the time of your procedure, we spin the sample in a special centrifuge to isolate and concentrate these healing components.

The resulting PRF membrane or clot can then be applied directly to surgical sites to:

• Speed up healing
• Reduce post-operative pain and swelling
• Enhance bone and tissue regeneration
• Lower the risk of infection or complications

How Does PRF Work?

When your body experiences an injury or surgical procedure, it naturally sends platelets to the area to help form clots and release growth factors—biological signals that stimulate tissue repair and regeneration.

With PRF, we supercharge that process by applying a concentrated dose of these growth factors directly to the surgical site. Key growth factors released include:

• Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) – promotes blood vessel formation and healing
• Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-β) – supports soft tissue healing
• Insulin-Like Growth Factor (IGF) – stimulates tissue regeneration
• Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMPs) – support new bone formation
